- Kids do well if they can. "Challenging kids are challenging because they're lacking the skills to not be challenging."
- Seek to understand kids.
- Empathy goes a long way.
- Challenging behaviors are a result of problems that need to be solved due to lagging skills.
- We need to assess and prioritize before we problem solve.
- Kid buy-in is key.
- Relationships need to be in place.
- Plan A, B, or C - we need to prioritize the unsolved problems. What's the lowest hanging fruit?
